To Script or Not to Script?

In this modern age, we are blessed with any number of options in terms of tools to use help us when we are on our feet in front of an audience. They can also be a curse if not used properly.

There is no simple right or wrong when it comes to using scripts, notes, cue cards, or autocues. Everybody is different, and every event is different. What works for one person at one event will not necessarily work for someone else speaking at the same event. Similarly, what works for you at one event will not always work for you at the next event.
