Chapter 38. USING A PROCESS—THE FIVE DS OF WORKPLACE CONFLICT RESOLUTION
You will occasionally find yourself in situations where the conflict has grown beyond the level at which simply adjusting your communication style or questioning your perception will be sufficient to move the conflict to resolution. Left alone, these conflicts almost always get worse. When this is the case, since we have defined workplace conflict as conflict causing a business problem, as a leader you have to take action to resolve it.

Using a predefined process for resolving Level 3 conflicts supports you and the other parties by creating a framework for discussion that leads to resolution.
