HOW TO FIX SOCIAL SECURITY

What follows is a thoroughly bipartisan op-ed piece jointly negotiated and drafted with my friend and business community colleague James Roosevelt Jr. in 2012. At the time, Jim was the CEO of Tufts Health Plan, one of Boston’s leading healthcare providers; he had also served a term as associate commissioner for retirement policy of the Social Security Administration. He happens, incidentally, to be the grandson of Social Security’s great champion, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, whose values he shares.
