Lesson 10Color Correction

Color correction is perhaps the most important effect in FCP. Despite its simplicity, it’s a powerful tool with professional features. In addition to this effect there are a number of third party color correction tools to further enhance your work, excellent tools such as Hawaiki Color and Color Finale Pro.

For this lesson we’ll use the FCPX8 librar y that we used in the previous lesson on effects. If you haven’t downloaded the material you will need to get it from the eResources tab of the www.routledge.com/products/9781138209978 web page.

Before we get started let’s make a new project to work with.

  • 1. Use Command-N to make a new project, leave the default settings, and call it Color.
