Understanding Events

The key to organizing your imported media is to utilize events. An event can hold as few or as many video, audio, and image files as you like. One way of thinking of events is as a traditional folder or a bin. Unlike previous versions of Final Cut Pro, each event in the Event Library directly maps to a folder that Final Cut Pro X creates on your disk drive.

The event folder will contain either a copy of the imported media or an alias linking to the original file.
