Primary Color Correction

Now that you have a sense of what each scope is used for, let’s delve into manually adjusting the color of your image. Even if you’ve used the Auto Balance, you may still want to refine how your image looks. Final Cut Pro allows you use both Auto Balance and manual color balancing simultaneously. You can even stack an unlimited number of color correction effects on an image to truly get the look you want.

The first step in adjusting the color of a clip is to open the color board. The color board can be accessed from the Inspector by clicking the small button to the right of Correction 1 or from the Enhancement menu (Command+6). The color board is broken down into three areas that you can adjust:
