As you build your Timeline in Final Cut Pro X, you’ll end up with several audio files. Some will be attached to video clips in the primary storyline; others may be attached to b-roll shots or exist as music and sound effects audio-only clips. All of these offer precise controls so you can balance the audio and create a compelling overall mix.
As you work with audio in your Timeline, you’ll need to measure and evaluate the changes. The reason is that the audio can actually be “too loud.” If the overall sound levels add up to a cumulative mix that is “hot,” you could hear distortion as well as clicks or pops in the sound track.
