Appendix 1Informal Barrier to Mobility

The contract between partners is based on the principle of mutual benefit without preventing a possible deviation (always possible in a framework of radical uncertainty), hence the proposed concept of an informal barrier to mobility. In line with the work on the concept of plan by Selten (1978) and Van Damme (1989), which is based on Kohlberg and Mertens (1986), the aim is to deal with the question of the collective strategy of actors in the inter-organizational sphere. The challenge, beyond the proposal of a formalization, is to operationalize a discourse. In the network perspective (mentioned in Chapter 2), the aim here is to characterize the behaviors of three actors (in double-sourcing supply: with one client and two suppliers) during coordination in the game: will the actors converge towards the initially designated partnership solution or deviate from this negotiated solution? Thus, from coordination generating trust, the trust established allows cooperation to continue (with or without taking into account an external opportunity, sometimes leading to a concerted exit). Within this framework, there are many reasons for deviation, including self-interest, voluntary failure (or opportunism) and involuntary failure. The issue of deviation is distinct from that of opportunism. This variety of behavior is linked to the introduction of two distinct types of hazard: the appearance of new information (major hazard or uncertainty); the effective ...
