Advertising Standards Authority The ASA is the independent body set up by the advertising industry to police the rules laid down in the advertising codes. Its website includes annual reports 1997 onwards; research reports; the current editions of the British Code of Advertising, Sales Promotion and Direct Marketing (the CAP Code), and the various other codes relating to radio and television advertising; and a searchable database of recent adjudications.
