All of your hard work and effort in building up people’s self-esteem and self-image, as described in the preceding chapters, won’t help you achieve your goals as a manager and a leader if those people are the wrong people for your organization in the first place.

Your job is not to find people and transform them into something that they are not already. Your job is to find good people and create an environment where they can perform at the highest levels possible for yourself and your business.
