7.1 SUMMARY

This book focuses on functional safety for embedded systems. In this book, the parallel application model of embedded systems is described by a DAG.

In Chapter 2, we present a fast functional safety verification approach for the parallel application of an automotive embedded system. First, we propose the FFSV1 algorithm to find the solution of the minimum response time while meeting the reliability requirement. Second, we propose the FFSV2 algorithm to find the solution of maximum reliability while meeting the response time requirement.
