Chapter 4, “Introduction to Computations in Chemical Engineering,” introduced a variety of mathematical problems encountered by a chemical engineer in his/her academic and professional career. Chapters 5 through 9 presented some of these problems and computations executed using Excel and Mathcad. Excel is, of course, ubiquitous on personal computers as a part of the Microsoft Office Suite.
