Ethernet LAN Topologies
Given the benefits of structured wiring systems and the ability to support high-speed Ethernet connections, today’s Ethernet LANs are commonly deployed as a series of connected star-wired networks. The way in which organizations connect the stars (or other topologies) can greatly impact network performance. The topology is the physical configuration of the Ethernet network.
