What Are XFAs?

The subject of XFAs generates a fair amount of conversation within the Fusebox community, particularly as new adopters are introduced to the methodology. There seems to be a conception that, because there is an official name for this “thing,” it must be a development tool or a piece of software that can be incorporated into a Fusebox application.

But XFAs are not something to be downloaded. Rather, they represent an idea that allows Fusebox circuits to be flexible, modular, and portable. To help clarify, we’ll first define the term and then look at exit points in action.
