Anthropologists tell us that the primitive human, the hunter-gatherer, was programmed to seek out success in two important ways. The man sought rank and status, which enabled him to get the most desirable women and lead the hunt and territorial activities. The woman sought resources, whether to garner daily food for the family or to assure her children a healthier, longer-lived existence.
