When working as a procurement professional and being involved in supply chains, it is important that knowledge is gained surrounding ethical and sustainable challenges.

Ethics form a significant part of everyone’s lives and relate to the morals and accepted behaviors surrounding the ways in which activities are undertaken. Ethics reflect on what is good for individuals and what is tolerable within the society.

Figure 3.1 explores how ethics can be defined in relation to individuals’ actions and mindsets. Positive behaviors such as transparency and honesty represent good ethical behavior.
