Working with Multiple Photos

IN THE PREVIOUS SECTION, you learned about ways to work with individual photos. But what if you want to work with multiple photos at once—delete them, share them, and so on? It’s easy.

When you’re viewing photos in an album, press the Menu key. Small checkboxes appear at the top of each photo. Tap the photos you want to select—the boxes turn green when selected. If you want to select all photos, tap “Select all.”

When you select photos, the top of the screen displays the number of photos you’ve selected. To unselect all of them, tap “Unselect all.” To unselect individual ones, tap the green box and the checkmark goes away.

Now you can perform actions on the photos you’re selected. You have basically the same choices as when working with individual photos—tap the “Send via,” Delete, and More buttons onscreen. When you tap the More button, you’ll be able to use the “Share via” feature (More Photo Options). If you instead tap Details after tapping More, you’ll see information about all the photos you’ve selected, including how many items you’ve chosen, and the dates of the first and last photos taken.
