iOS Games: Design Principles Through Analytics
Treat the user data generated by analytics as part of the design process. Analytics can’t tell you when a player is having fun, but it can tell you how deeply they’re engaging with the game, which is about the same thing. Release an early build of your game to a few hundred or a few thousand users, capture their gameplay information, iterate, and then release to a few hundred/thousand more. Keep gathering user data and keep improving the game based on it.
