After producing Fallout at Interplay, Tim Cain left the company with Leonard Boyarsky and Jason Anderson, frustrated with the decision-making processes there. In 1998, the trio cofounded Troika Games, and secured a deal with Sierra Entertainment to publish the award-winning Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura in 2001.
