Application follow-up letters
It’s astonishing how many people assiduously send off application after application but do nothing to follow up on these when they do not receive a response. Following up on the applications you send can considerably increase the number of interviews to which you are invited.
As you have no doubt realised, it can take a lot of time, work and effort to put together a compelling application. Having gone to all that trouble, why not go the extra mile and follow up on applications that haven’t resulted in a response? Writing a follow-up letter is very quick and easy by comparison to writing your original letter and given the effect it can have on a recruiter, it is well worth the little bit of extra effort. ...
