Requesting a promotion
One of the top reasons why people want to change jobs is to progress to a more challenging role or a position with greater responsibility and autonomy.
This doesn’t necessarily mean that the new job has to be with a different organisation. If you’re happy working for your current employer but are simply no longer satisfied with the role you play in the organisation, the ideal situation could be to be awarded a promotion rather than have to go through all the upheaval of moving to a different organisation.
