If you’re producing songs, you can find a handful of extremely useful sites on the web for obtaining anything from cables to microphones and MIDI files to song chords and lyrics. In no particular order, here are the URLs and brief descriptions of some websites that you may find useful.

Learn Songs on Guitar or Bass

You can learn a song in many ways, but my favorite method is to download a chord chart or tablature for the song and then try to play it.

Search for free chord charts or tablature

Using your favorite search engine, enter the name of the song you want to sing or play, appending free guitar chords or free guitar tablature. For example, when I searched for Wasted Time free guitar chords and Wasted Time free guitar tablature, I found hundreds of files with the song’s chords and tablature.

A chord chart displays the chords above the lyrics, so you can strum the song immediately (as long as you know how to play its chords).

Tablature, or tab, is a special form of musical notation used for guitar parts. Designed to be typed on a computer, it's usually displayed in a monospaced font such as Courier ...
