Allene (C₃H₄), an isomer of cyclopropene with the structure H₂CCCH₂, is an open-chain molecule with two adjacent carbon-carbon double bonds and with two CH₂ groups twisted with respect to each other by 90° (Szmytkowski and Kwitnewski, 2002). Its ground-state configuration is given by Nakano et al. (2002). The geometrical length of the molecule is ∼0.385 nm and a width of 0.179 nm (Nakano et al., 2002).
