Fluorobenzene (C6H5F) is a 12-atom, 20-electron, aromatic molecule, with one hydrogen replaced with a fluorine atom. It is polar with a dipole moment of 1.60 D; it has an electronic polarizability of 11.46 × 10−40 F m2 and an ionization potential of 9.2 eV. The vibrational energy determined by electron transmission technique is 113–133 meV (Frazier et al., 1978). A comparison with a benzene molecule suggests that the motion is possibly C–H bend. Electronic excitation energies are 0.91, 1.27, 1.74, 3.65, 3.97, 4.34, 5.02, 5.32, 5.85, 6.5, 6.98, 7.27, 7.82, and ...
