2-Propanol (2-C3H8O) is a polar, electron-attaching molecule that has 34 electrons. Its dipole moment is 1.58 D and ionization potential 10.17 eV. In comparison, the dipole moment of 1-propanal is 1.55 D and ionization potential 10.18 eV.
Partial and total ionization cross sections in 1-propanol (1-C3H8O) have been measured by Rejoub et al. (2003) as shown in Table 129.1 and Figure 129.1. A single study in 2-C3H8O is due to Vacher et al., (2006) as shown in Tables 129.2 and 129.3 and Figures 129.2 and 129.3.
