What does it look like?
It’s any shot where an object or weapon penetrates a person at a rapid speed and after a moment their body splits in a way that matches the impact.
How’s it done?
This type of shot can be done in many ways, but it’s usually a combination of on set makeup FX and CGI.
When should I use it?
This type of shot is great for “shock” value and to really make the audience squirm or sometimes even laugh.
