The Imagined Self
What does it look like?
It’s any shot where a character appears in a reflection and his/her body is superimposed upon an object (like clothing) or reflected alongside another object of desire.
How’s it done?
This shot is photographed on set using creative lighting to create a reflection on glass.
When should I use it?
This shot is best used when you want a character to imagine himself/herself in a way that inspires them into acting upon their desires.
