Back from the Dead
What does it look like?
It’s any unexpected moment when a character is presumed dead but jumps back to life for one last attack.
How’s it done?
It’s shot and framed in a way that sets up the attack for maximum surprise. The “back from the dead” moment is usually from an area in the frame where the character is most off-guard, such as from behind.
When should I use it?
Use this shot to thrill the audience one last time before killing off the villain. It shows how hard he/she is to kill and also heightens the fear level for the audience.
