Actually, no. Email is not only alive and well, it's crucial. As I'm writing, email is still one of the best marketing channels with the highest ROI. While we have social media and paid advertising, there is nothing more powerful to a business than being able to reach their customers on demand.

I've built my business on the back of email and social media. In 2018, I launched a series of workshops for businesses. I used email to fill them. I didn't spend any money on ads; I just used marketing lists to promote my events. Over the course of two years, more than 5,000 people came to those events and I made more than $500,000 doing it. All that from email marketing.

The only reason I stopped was the Covid pandemic.

Email is powerful. Yes it's noisy and you have to work harder than ever to make it successful, but what isn't noisy these days?
