In the 1997 movie The Edge, penned by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Mamet, the main characters Charles and Bob (played respectively by a cerebral Sir Anthony Hopkins and cynical Alec Baldwin) find themselves lost in the Alaskan wilderness. Their survival is further complicated by a man-killing bear (deftly played by Bart the Bear—whose illustrious career you should look up). As tensions run high, Baldwin’s Bob starts to lose it while Hopkins’s Charles coolly asserts that they can walk out of the woods on their own.
