By working in subobject editing in the Modify panel you can access the smaller subobject components that make up 3D objects. In this chapter, you will learn about a specific surface type called a Mesh surface. A mesh surface in 3ds Max is made up of triangular faces and is the original 3D surface type in 3ds Max.
