Chapter 5. Global Context

The global context is a part of WebSphere sMash that provides unified access to environmental, application, and user-specific data. The global context consists of several zones, each forming a namespace that is rooted at “/”. Each zone serves a particular purpose, providing data for the application that is applicable for a certain scope. In this chapter, we look at each of these zones in turn and then learn how to access these zones in Java, Groovy, and PHP.
