Knowing When to Stop Editing

With Camera Raw and Photoshop, you can perform an almost unlimited amount of image-editing tricks. However, there is a price to pay for all of this power. First, with so many options at your disposal, it can be easy to be overwhelmed by choices and possibilities. With all those brushes and sliders and buttons and dials, how do you know if a particular edit is a good choice, or when you should stop and be satisfied with your image?
