Meet the Maker
To finish up this first project, I teamed up with Jeff Solin (Figure 3-1), a computer science and making teacher, and FIRST Robotics coach at Lane Tech College Prep High School. He turned an old cafeteria into a full 4,000 square foot makerspace called the Innovation and Creation Lab. Jeff designed the curriculum for the Innovation and Creation Lab course and currently teaches more than 150 students. In his class, students learn art, engineering, math, physics, sciences, and programming. Students manipulate the physical and turn virtual ideas into reality.
