Meet the Maker
Travis Lucia (Figure 7-1) is a maker who focuses on 3D carving and woodworking projects. Travis was introduced to the maker movement and woodworking in 2011 when he purchased a set of basic power tools. He has since received formal training at the New England School of Architectural Woodworking. Quickly thereafter, he took over the family’s two-car garage, filling it with tools and converting it into a fully functional woodshop. With his recent infatuation with woodworking and a long history of using computers and design, it was a natural evolution to marry these two passions with 3D carving.
