In this chapter, we discussed the differences between sealed and unsealed management packs and explored their various elements. We also discussed the best places to locate and download Microsoft, third-party vendor, and community management packs. You learnt how to import, export, and delete management packs from within the Operation Console and we gave you the lowdown on the tools you need to manage, edit, and author.
In the next chapter, you will learn how to bring your network devices under monitoring using both SNMP and ICMP discoveries, along with gaining an understanding of the various dashboards and reports available to you for network monitoring.
