The Node.js software includes a package manager called npm. Package managers install software, as well as that software's dependencies. You will use this to install React VR. It makes the installation very easy and up to date. Whatever your platform, you will need to get to a Command Prompt to work with most of the examples in this book. A Command Prompt is the window incorrectly referred to as DOS. In Windows, this is referred to as the Node.js Command Line Interface (CLI) tool, although the actual title is Node.js command prompt.
