3: Running your first container

This chapter walks you through creating, stopping, restarting, and deleting your first container. It’s a really simple example and won’t take you long. However, it’s a great way to get some hands-on experience, and it’ll reinforce a lot of the things you learned in the previous chapters.

Later chapters will cover more interesting examples.

You’ll need a Docker environment to follow along. The previous chapter showed you how to install Docker Desktop and Multipass.
