The financial cost of unfairness presented in this study is an estimate based upon the results of the 2007 Corporate Leavers Survey. The basic mathematical calculations used to determine the cost of voluntary turnover due solely to unfairness are as follows:
- Population of employed civilians Percentage of population who are × professionals or managers Number of professionals and managers in U.S. labor force
