Just over 44 percent of the world’s online population resides in Asia, according to Internet World Stats. Although Singapore is far from the largest country in Asia, it is among the best and most well connected of all, with a whopping rate of 77.8 percent Internet penetration, and steadily rising.1 Only South Korea, Japan, and Brunei have more of their population online. This percentage amounts to more than 3.6 million Internet users on the little island itself. What’s more, Singaporeans online have made U.S. retail sites their number-one online shopping destination.
