Related Work
Chapter Summary
We discuss related work in decision theory in general and analysis of congressional voting behavior in particular. Other models of decision making are either prescriptive, such as decision analysis and game theory from economics, or descriptive, such as prospect theory from psychology. Studies of congressional roll call voting have included both predictive models, and descriptive analyses. The role of interpersonal relations is more pronounced in the political science literature.
We have discussed related AI work on goals and interpersonal relations in context throughout this book. In this chapter we focus on related work in the decision-making and political science literature.
