My name is Bob Pape and I was, for a period close to sixteen years, a self-employed freelance games programmer. I started in 1987 writing commercial games for the UK home computer market, specifically the ZX Spectrum home computer, and then went on to code for consoles, handheld devices and the PC. For the majority of that time I was represented by an agent, Jacqui Lyons of Marjacq Micro Ltd. who lined up contracts for me, took care of negotiations and (often) chased after outstanding payments I was owed - even when she wasn't due her 15% agency fee of the final amount!
