CHAPTER THREE
Emotion
When I first met my brother-in-law, Trevor, he was a London taxi driver. Born and bred in East London, we quite often met after work in his old neighbourhood to play darts. I loved going to the pub with Trevor because he always had the most interesting stories to tell, particularly entertaining in his cockney accent. Like the time he picked up the lead singer from one of the world’s biggest rock bands. So Trevor told it, the singer was blind drunk, and couldn’t remember where he was staying. After finally arriving at his hotel, Trevor made him sing one of his famous songs to pay for his fare.
