Having thought a bit about the quality problem, inhibitions to solving it, and the process by which quality might be improved, let us move to the seven areas that are critical to product quality, and which, in my mind, do not receive the consideration they deserve. These areas play a major role in how companies define and differentiate their products, but they are rarely analyzed and adequately thought through.
