Chapter 17. Searching for Bargains with Google Product Search
The most important development in the history of online shopping is the creation of the price comparison site. This is a site that uses a shopping bot to automatically search a large number of online retailers for current prices on available products. This product and pricing information is used to create a large database that you, the consumer, can access at will. When you search a price comparison site, you’re looking up the most recent pricing information in its database. In essence, you let the price comparison site do your shopping for you; all you have to do is evaluate the results.
