The framework for the control of IT that combines the six principles (responsibility, strategy, acquisition, performance, conformance, human behaviour) and the three tasks (EDM), together with the generic examples of aligning the tasks with the principles, make up the core of the Corporate Governance of ICT standard ISO/IEC 38500, which serves as general guidance to directors.
The framework within the standard will be the basis for more detailed guideline documents in the form of international standards, technical reports and handbooks. We are developing a series of IT governance framework standards by applying the six principles and the EDM activities to evolving areas where we feel standardisation would add value. ...
