9 BEFORE YOU START ON IMPLEMENTATION

Before starting on the implementation of an IT governance framework within an organisation it is important to:

• understand what benefits are expected to be realised through the delivery of the framework;
• take a baseline of current activity;
• determine how well current activities are serving the needs of the organisation.
