Based out of New York, Sean Carmody set up his freelance practice in 2006 before establishing Commissioned Works NY in 2009. He is selective about the projects he takes on, with a particular style of graphic design that demands an extremely high level of mutual trust with his clients. Within the current climate of precision technology, he at times exploits the limitations of production to achieve innovative results. “In some instances we opt for a production technique that may be more of an experiment than an exact science.
