Applications
Abstract
This chapter presents a list of applications that are practical to look at using nanomaterials. Of the viable applications, the possibility of replacing the nanomaterials given in literature with graphitic nanofibers is proposed with technical justifications. The hyped but not so feasible applications are filtered out by presenting cost analyses based on numbers given in literature. Applications covered include: Catalysis, Polymer additives, Li-ion batteries, Fuel Cell electrodes, water & wastewater treatment, gas purification, lubricant additives, heat transfer fluid additives and drilling fluid additives.
