Software-Defined Radio

Wireless devices are found in all aspects of our lives. Although these devices afford us greater freedom by eliminating wires, they also open proximity and remote attack surfaces. For example, a sensor that is hard-wired and not exposed to the public is far more difficult to access than a wireless sensor that has a range exceeding the perimeter of the building. Of course, simply having access to the wireless signal does not guarantee that nefarious activities can be accomplished, but it certainly opens a door.
